The Ragnarok Online 3 team breaks the silence after six months of intense development, finally showing us what the game will look like on PC, and revealing a surprising cooperative dungeon system.
RO3 producer Yu has released the first Dev Diary, packed with valuable information for veterans who feared a simple mobile port. The developers have made it clear that the PC version will be a purely native experience, bringing back the customizable interface, resizable windows, and the beloved free-floating chat box we all used to drag to a corner of the screen to chat in Prontera.
MVPs Evolve: From Field Bosses to Strategic Dungeons
One of the biggest complaints about current MMOs is that bosses often become static piñatas. RO3 is changing this by moving 9 of Midgard's most legendary MVPs (like Baphomet and Orc Hero) into exclusive 5-player dungeons. Fights will include attack patterns, complex formations, and evasion mechanics where group coordination will be much more important than brute force.
Season 1: Feel the Rhythm and Flow in Combat!
RO3 will adopt a seasonal format with unique themes, making it easy for players to catch up quickly even if they take a few months off.
The big surprise of the video was Season 1, focused entirely on music. To overcome the massive 10-player raid, adventurers will have to defeat a boss that is literally a full band in the middle of a concert (vocalist, dancer, and drummer). This musical focus carries over to the classes themselves: the 3rd job Assassin will feature attack animations and visual effects inspired by the rhythm of rap, graffiti, and hip-hop culture!
When can we play it?
The team is already preparing the technical testing phase. The first to test this new approach will be players in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau in a closed testing environment, although they have assured that dates for other regions will be revealed progressively.
What do you think of these changes? Are you ready to adjust your build and face the new MVPs to the rhythm of rap? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
